Freycinet Produce

A show case of the finest produce from around the Freycinet Region.

Oysters, Lobster and Mussels Oyster Grower

Freycinet Marine Farm has them all. The farm is made up of 6 different growing regions totaling just less than 100 acres and is a mixture of estuarine and fully marine growing areas. The estuarine areas are in the Great Swanport river estuary, boarded by the Pelican Bay bird sanctuary on the upstream side and open to Great Oyster Bay on the down stream side. The marine zones are off shore from the Freycinet National Park and are open to the Southern Ocean to the south.

 Scallops, Abalone, Calamari

Skim the menu at any number of Australia's leading restaurants and you are likely to see some form of Tasmanian seafood on the menu. When you taste it on the Freycinet Coast, you know it's fresh. And if that doesn't satisfy you, calamari, flathead, trevally and salmon can be often caught off the jetty's at Swansea, Orford or Coles Bay.

Olives

Olives are grown throughout the Freycinet Coast & Maria Island region. At Coombend Estate, in the clear temperate climate of Tasmania’s Freycinet coast along with wine grapes, olives become plump and ripen during the long warm autumn days. This process produces award winning fruits and oils.

BerriesKate's Berry Farm Swansea

Kate's Berry Farm, just near Swansea, is one of Tasmania's treasures. From spring (November) to Autumn (April) you can buy fresh raspberries and strawberries picked that day from Kate's garden. The Farm sits high above the coastline looking out across Great Oyster Bay to The Hazards range. At any time of the year you can buy luscious creamy ice cream, jams and even wine made from the berries.
